Brendan Sonnichsen

Since stumbling across various methods of Strength & Conditioning in 2004, Brendan has competed in several Functional Fitness events and pursued coaching expertise with some of the world’s best. Dedicated to ongoing professional development, Brendan is certified with CrossFit (Level 2), Charles Poliquin (Level 2), Precision Nutrition (Level 1) and is currently working on his OPEX CCP Level 1 coaching certification.

Kyle Wilzer

Kyle was the Catalyst for making Sublime happen. Once hockey ended he found himself searching for a fitness community that valued both high levels of fitness AND high levels of community. In the end he sought out to make his own. Kyle is the Head Coach and Programmer at Sublime. He is certified as a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and is currently working on his CSCS.


Melissa Chung

Since Melissa was a toddler, she has participated in various sports ranging from swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer, tae kwon do and most recently judo. After completing university, Melissa was looking for a way to get fit in a competitive atmosphere and found CrossFit in the fall of 2012. Melissa started as a member at Sublime in February 2013 and began developing a passion for Olympic lifting. Since then she has been committed to honing her technique and has gained the skills needed to effectively coach others by shadowing the Sublime coaches over an 8 month period. Melissa came on as a trainer at Sublime in July 2014. She has completed the CanFit Pro PTS certification, attended the Outlaw Way Para Bellum Training Camp, and is working towards the CanFit Pro NWLS certification.


Claire Walsh

Claire has been actively working within the Winnipeg fitness community for many years. Her sports background includes gymnastics, swimming, soccer and track and field. Claire is a Coach and the General Manager at Sublime. Her certifications include Precision Nutrition (1) and NCCP Weightlifting Course (1). She is also a certified and practicing Yoga Instructor and certified by Manitoba Fitness Council for Fitness Theory, Group Fitness and Active Older Adult.
