I just wanted to let you know I had a great training day today!  Like REALLY good.  Like I had an epiphany kind of moment today 😀

As challenging as the front squat ladder was, I wasn’t intimidated by it like I thought I might be.  I didn’t feel tired or exhausted and didn’t the need to mentally psyche myself out.  For the first time since Sublime’s programming started, I felt solid and strong instead of working towards being solid or strong, if that makes sense.  My muscles felt stable.  I felt really good!  Don’t get me wrong–I still worked really hard, but today I felt this overwhelming sense of accomplishment from the benefits of your programming!  Like all my hard work had paid off.  I felt sublime (no pun intended but completely suitable here!) as I finished the workout with much better technique on my heavy kettlebell swings and heavier sled push sprints than the last couple of Fridays.  This whole week has come full circle for me, in fact. I completed Thursday’s workout almost completely with strict pullups which we all know is pretty huge for me (I did 6 negatives in one round but the rest were strict!) and Monday’s deadlift AMRAP with 8 reps at the rx’d weight, which blew my mind!  I felt really solid there too.  I managed to keep pretty strict form on my deadlift (I hope that’s what Coach Sarge saw!) and strict form/perfect technique has been my main aim since I started training at Sublime.

It’s been a amazing 3.5 months at Sublime, and I just wanted to share my enthsiasm, accomplishments and gratitude with you!  Our trio of coaches, whom I like to call the Dream Team, have given us all a solid foundation, amazing coaching and a wonderful home to train at 🙂 Thank you!  I look forward to what is to come.

@SuperBean Thanks so much Irene! I’m so glad to hear this! Speaks volume to hear this from someone who has been training intensely for several years!

I read this, and had 2 thoughts…  First one – WAY TO GO!!!  Super pumped for you and all that you’ve accomplished in just over 3 months (I noticed you rockin the strict pull ups in the workout the other day, and I know how awesome it feels when you get to the point when you can do that)…definitely something to celebrate 🙂  Second thought – your post sounds exactly like me and is similar to an email (…or two or three…) that I have sent to Coach B myself over the last year.  I’ve had a lot of ‘ah ha’ moments when I realized I just crushed something that I used to struggle with…or stepped back and realized how far I’ve progressed in the short time I’ve been following B’s programming.  It’s a great feeling to realize “damn, I just did that, didn’t I?!”, so I totally, 100%, get this post!  I guess I have 3 thought…cause I also would like to say that I agree the coaches we have definitely are a Dream Team.  The progress I have made (and watched everyone else make) wouldn’t be possible without the 3 of you there correcting form, giving us cues, and pushing us to dig deep.  It definitely IS home (and I may or may not spend more time there then I do at my own condo…)

@CLaw  @SuperBean “(and I may or may not spend more time there then I do at my own condo…)” — lol…

you guys are awesome. However, my “programming” and “coaching” only yield these kind of results when people are willing to work as hard as you two. Thanks for all the good words though 🙂

Thanks, CLaw!  And I’m really proud of you too, you’ve got some solid PR’s under your belt! Everyone at the gym is doing pretty incredibly, it’s always such a great environment to be active in!
